4 May 2013
The first ever colour run in South Africa happened at Hyde Park High School, on 4 May 2013, and I got to be a part of it.
The main idea is to run 8km and every one and a half kilometer or so you get sprayed with some kind of coloured dye (with water cannons), and then thrown with coloured powder. By the end of the run, you end up multi-coloured.

It was a great run, although my legs weren't really up for it on the day, it was lots of fun, and its hard not to laugh going through each of the colour stations, comparing the various combinations and how much you got colour bombed - Some people managed to get almost no colour, but where is the fun in that?

We don't get any medals or anything out of the run, except great memories, and our own personalised tie-dye effect shirts. Holding thumbs the race takes place again next year... I definitely want to be a part of it again :)
